The peanuts are great. However, how the box got to me was disturbing. The address was handwritten, apparently at the post office, and the box was not sealed. I brought this to VD's attention, and their response was that they were experiencing problems with USPS. I give five stars for the food. (The can was not damaged and sealed.)

Since receiving a gift of Virginia Diner peanuts a long time ago for Christmas, I have been a fan. I buy them by the "truckload" and share with others. I can't tell you how many people say they are very picky about the peanuts they eat and immediately fall in love because they are crisp, without being oily and lightly salted. I love sharing and watching people's reactions when they taste them.

You can argue that there are better peanuts, but anybody who's eaten Virginia Diner peanuts will laugh you out of town. These peanuts are always the largest, crunchiest peanuts, cooked and salted just right. They're a great substitute for chips at lunch, they're wonderful with beer in the afternoon, and they're a terrific before-bed snack. I eat them every day, and they never fail to satisfy. If you're still eating those tiny peanuts they sell in the local grocery, order Virginia Diner's and you'll never eat those other peanuts again.

I really, really enjoy salted peanuts. So much to that they're a part of every day, and every holiday. While my neighbors were setting off fireworks, I was enjoying a bowl of Virginia Diner salted peanuts. These peanuts never get old. The quality is always high, the freshness is always there, thanks to the packaging, and the taste is beyond compare. I ended 2023 with Virginia Diner, and I'm beginning 2024 the same way. I have been eating these peanuts daily for about 30 years, so I guess you could say I'm partial for them. I grew up in Virginia and even had an uncle who farmed peanuts, so I've been eating them since I was a tyke. I've said it before on this blog that these are the best peanuts I ever tasted, and all these years later, it's still true. No other peanut company gives you such a big peanut, cooked to give you the ultimate crunchiness, and salted to perfection. There's nobody else in America that gives you as much flavor as consistently as Virginia Diner. Where peanuts are concerned, they can do no wrong.

Everyone loves them as they're salty (or unsalted) oversized and just a great tasting nut. Highly recommend VD and the many, many various nuts they have to offer (love the Marcona Almonds as well!).

While spending several years in Virginia during my 30-year military career my wife and I always enjoyed the favor and quality of Virginia Diner peanuts. Recently I discovered they could be delivered to Deep South Texas I jumped at the opportunity to have them delivered to our home so we could make our local neighbors jealous of the flavor and quality. We have to treat them like gold due to the efforts it takes to get them way down here, but we enjoy them as a light snack every day. Thanks for the continued quality for all these years.

One of the real pleasures of eating Virginia Diner peanuts is the consistency. It never seems to matter what time of year, they come out of the can crunchy, salty, and a pleasure to eat. If you've tried other brands of peanuts, as I have in past years, you have undoubtedly found that the nuts are often undersized and all too often without flavor. That's never the case with Virginia Diner peanuts. From the first nut to the bottom of the can, they're always good. You can't do better.

They really go great with iced tea or cold beer, and they're also pretty good on an ice cream sundae. And if you're going to enjoy peanuts, you can't go wrong with those from Virginia Diner. Since last year I have been ordering Salted Virginia Diner Peanuts - DELICIOUS. But recently I had a couple of cans that were saltless. Strange. I notified V.D. of this, and Andrew Whisler and his team bent over backwards to ensure that I received the quality product they provide. They guarantee their product, and SATISFIED my salted peanut fix. I also order the Munch Madness which, in my opinion, is the best cocktail hour snack there is. As a native Virginian, peanuts were part of my diet as soon as I grew teeth. I've had peanuts from various parts of the country and many different brands, but none of those came within a light year of those sold by Virginia Diner. Not only are they larger and more flavorful, but Virginia Diner's traditional way of cooking them is superior to all other methods I've tried. I eat peanuts every day and never get tired of that crunchy, salty flavor that Virginia Diner's nuts consistently offer. They're healthful and delicious every time. Keep up the good work, you guys!

About 30 years ago my father was on vacation and found the Virginia Diner. He sent me a tin of these and from then on sent me one for the holidays every year. He died many years back but the Virginia Diner tradition has lasted. Over the years I have been challenged to try other peanut products and these have triumphed. They are a very full size and extremely fresh with a solid crunch. The salt is not excessive. The end result is the Perfect Peanut. I have bought them off Amazon as well as directly. I now use these peanuts and the varied flavors as a wonderful gift to thank my friends. I have no clue how that grow such good peanuts, but these are simply amazing. I also have never been disappointed with a bad shipment. I never have needed customer service because they do it right the first time.

I've lived all over the country and the things that people consider peanuts in some of those places would make you cry if you've ever eaten real Virginia peanuts. Virginia Diner's nuts are all larger, plumper, and have a flavor that never gets old. If I could write a sonnet, it would be about Virginia Diner peanuts. I hope you guys never sell to a multi-national corporation. They wouldn't understand peanuts like you guys do.

Since I was born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia, I am well aware of Virginia Diner peanuts. They are just wonderful. I live in Hawaii, and I order them and give as gifts to my friends here. I get great feedback from them who say they are the best peanuts they have ever ate. I remind them that if they travel to your area (some do) to stop also at the Virginia Diner for a great meal. I always order 2 cans at a time, as I have a 1/2 cup of your nuts with half of an apple every day for lunch. They are so crispy and the salt is just the perfect amount. My sister started me on your wonderful product well over a year ago, and I haven't stopped since. Your little opener is so nice, but you don't have to send one each time I order, as I have plenty now. I never run out of the salted nuts, as I get very upset when I don't get to enjoy them each and every day. Thank you for your wonderful product.

Coming from peanut country like I do, I've always thought of peanuts as one of those necessary things. They're always in season, you can almost always find a supply, and you can even make candy, peanut butter, and even peanut soup with them. It's a rare day I don't eat something from the peanut family. But not all peanuts are as wonderful as these from Virginia Diner. They're plump and crunchy and the way Virginia Diner cooks them place them head and shoulders over peanuts you might find on the grocery store shelf. I've eaten peanuts all over the country, but they all pale in comparison to these.

I love your nuts. They are so big and crunchy. My friends love your nuts. Whenever they are over they ask me to bring out the nuts. Especially when the nuts come in a big can. Just the other day my friend Dr. T. Sanchez was remarking how much he loves these big nuts in his mouth. Everyone agreed these big, salty nuts are the best. Some prefer the dill flavored nuts but some remarked that sour nuts in their mouth were not as preferred.

Coinciding with the pandemic, my wife and I began a casual investigation into different premium grade, extra-large Virginia peanut choices available to on-line shoppers. Avoiding mention of names, we tried seven brands. For texture and flavor (including saltiness), these were my favorite. Both the aforementioned qualities are greatly influenced by roast and Virginia Diner gets their process exactly right to produce savoriness and satisfying chewing (the amount of crunch and the feel or texture of the "slurry" in the mouth created by mastication and saliva production vary between brands).
Being a Virginia boy living out of state, I would choose Virginia Diner peanuts to best show off a wonderful Virginia product to my local friends who have never sampled peanuts of this quality. Although ultimately, taste is highly subjective; quite a few blind taste-test comparisons are behind my declaration that Virginia Diner's Salted Virginia Peanuts are my first choice for a snacking peanut.

In fact, when we lived in Richmond, VA, my husband would send me in my SUV to pick up peanuts for his Rotary Club to sell to raise money for their polio vaccine project for all children worldwide. When I courted my wife and visited for the first time at her home in Cartersville, VA, my future father-in-law took me to the Virginia Diner for lunch and to get the can of peanuts that were a staple of the Christmas holiday. That first experience, 50 years ago, has led to countless cans of the 'jumbo salted' sent to Maine and around the world. A wonderful tradition and a treat.

I grew up in southeast Virginia at the edge of peanut growing country. I had a great uncle who grew peanuts and probably sold them to the old Planters Peanut headquarters in nearby Suffolk. So I can't remember being at home without peanuts to eat. As I've moved about the country, I continued to eat peanuts, but as time went on, I noticed that most of the brand I purchased just weren't as good as those I ate growing up. A number of years ago, my daughter sent me a case of your peanuts as a birthday gift, and ever since then, I've been buying Virginia Diner peanuts every couple of months. Your nuts are noticeably bigger and plumper than other brands, and have a better taste by a country mile. You've made a lifetime customer out of me. I'm never without Virginia Diner peanuts these days.

I received a can of Virginia Diner peanuts as part of a Christmas gift. I didn't have any expectations as they were in Christmas packaging and they were just peanuts, right? Wrong! I started snacking on them and was like, wow, these are awesome, who makes them? How can I get more? So I check the label and in tiny letters it said Virginia Diner. I immediately looked them up online and was happy to see they had their own website and I could order some. I'm on a low carb diet and these only have 1 gram of net carbs per serving. They are a great snack for a low carb lifestyle. The thing I like best about them is the texture. As a peanut, they taste like a peanut. But the texture is superior to any peanut I have ever had. They have a crunch to them I can't explain. I will definitely continue to order more!

Overall, I am very pleased with the product I receive from VADiner. However, recently I have been notified that I was eligible to receive a discount on my next order. But, I forgot to apply it when I made my next offer. Then, a day after ?I made the second order I received notification of a discount of 15% on all purchases. But because I placed an order the day before, I was not eligible for that discount. Now, I have been a customer of VADine for over 30 years, but I think they could do a better job keeping track of me, my purchases, and my eligibility for discounts.

Ironically, I had bought a large can of gourmet Virginia-style peanuts at Costco just before these arrived. Ate a bunch of those and found them tasty, but dry. When VA Diner cans arrived, taste-tested the two side-by-side. No comparison! VA Diner peanuts are moist, large and much more tasty. Shipment was fast, packing was good, and these peanuts taste great. Sure, they cost more, but they are definitely worth it.

I used to order the salted roasted peanuts for years, but with several moves since leaving Indiana, I stopped ordering them until recently. I found myself in Eau Claire, WI and somehow craved good peanuts. I remembered Virginia Diner and ordered one can. They were as good as I remembered. Every Christmas for the last few years we have received from friends a gift of an assortment of Virginia Peanuts from the Virginia Diner. We are particularly fond of the Salted Peanut. They are delicious and when we ran out of the gifted package we decided to order some on our own. So, we got two 36oz cans to hold us for a while. They are my go to snack! Excellent flavor and the right amount of salt. Not too much.
