I researched the nutritional value of peanuts and found that the peanuts with the skins on them, called redskins, are the best for you. So I'm listening to an audio book by Dr Peter Attia, and he was in a team that went to Easter Island (look this up) where natives we free of diseases most of the rest of the world suffers from. The team thought that something must be in the soil so they brought samples back to test. Easter Island is called Rapapui by the natives. What they found in the soil they call Rapamycin and studies are tending toward its health value. So not only are the redskin peanuts good for you because of the skins, but also because of the rapamycin in the peanuts. I now try to eat some daily.

Redskin peanuts have been my favorite since I was a kid. I recall going to the 5 & 10 cent store buying them bulk. The ones from Virginia Diner are the best.

These redskins are my favorite. Roasted and salted just right, reminds me of the peanuts my mom used to roast. The skins add a richer flavor to the nut. I keep these on hand as a frequent snack for me and to share with family and friends.

When my friend (who is challenged right now with chemotherapy) asked for redskins I had no idea what they were. Ordered a big can for him and one for us too because I was curious. How could these be different from regular Spanish peanuts?
Well. After some delivery issues (not VA Diner's fault) the nice people there helped me get the most delicious peanuts I've ever had. This will be a new tradition at our house & I look forward to giving these as gifts to all my friends and relatives. They are crunchy and fresh and so tasty! A little messy... Check your teeth for the skins sticking & be ready to sweep the floors. So worth it.

First time trying this variety---really great flavor! Not necessarily better or worse than the "regular" ones I've had from VA Diner, but just a different style. Simple ingredients, peanuts, peanut oil and salt! Yummmmmmm!!!!!
