I am a die-hard fan of the original peanuts. I tried these based on my father's suggestion. They are very good, but I prefer the plain for a few reasons: 1) texture; 2) simplicity; 3) less is more.

Best Flavored Peanuts Ever

I have always loved the Old Bay seasoning since I lived on the eastern shore of Maryland for awhile. I even put the seasoning on french fries and oven roasted potatoes. I always buy my Old Bay Peanuts from Virginia Diner. Also, I am originally from Virginia!

Well, I have to say I had never tried Old Bay before these peanuts. My wife found them a bag of them at the airport in Baltimore. When we got home I ordered 2 of the 18oz tins. I tried one, and now both tins are almost gone :-) I think she has had a few of them. Definitely going to order more of theses.

I wasn't sure about these before I bought them. I had no idea what Old Bay was. I now know and I will be purchasing another batch. There is a slight bitterness from the celery seed, which at first makes these quite different. After the second handful, though, one just keeps going back for more. They are, as I said, strangely addicting.

While I was in Leesburg I went to a Harris Teeter and saw a whole display of local goodies, among them was can old Virginia Diner Peanuts(which I've had many times and loved) but these were flavored with Old Bay Seasoning, and that made very very good...GREAT!

I grew up in MD, so Old Bay is a staple in our spice cabinet; we LOVE it on popcorn or the coating for fried chicken. Old Bay peanuts are INSPIRED! My whole family really likes them and once a can is opened, it doesn't last very long.
